THE PUB was opened in Saint Petersburg

The first English pub “THE PUB” was opened in the facility with the total area of 500 sq.m., located at the Vyborgskoe highway, 17/1. ASTERA an alliance member of BNP Paribas Real Estate acted as a broker of this transaction. During the period of 2014-2016 it is planned to open another three to five pubs under this brand in residential districts of St. Petersburg.

The Pub combines two formats: European cuisine and bar selection of drinks and cocktails. In THE PUB the area of the kitchen is 220 sq. m. The room is equipped with a powerful ventilation system. Pub space is divided into two parts. The first one is a main hall designed for up to hundred people with a bar counter, metal columns, dining rooms with soft hide covering. The Second part is a non-smoking "library" where you can get together up to 30 people. The average price is 1500 roubles.

Kirill Aksenov, chef of THE PUB, has 10 years of experience in the kitchen, including in “Solo Sokos Hotel Vasilievsky”, “8th line” pub, and Mansarda Restaurant. Beer menu contains 15 items of draft beer from England, Ireland, Belgium, the Czech Republic and Germany, and 20 variants of European bottled beer. Liquor List includes single-malt and blended whiskey, old rum, brandy, wine and original cocktails. Cocktail menu for the pub was created by Alexander Pugachev, a multiple champion of bartending competition and well-known mixologist in Saint Petersburg.

Pub’s walls are decorated with vintage tennis rackets from Wimbledon Championship, boxing gloves, wooden golf clubs and cricket rackets, pictures of the first English rallies, and collection of sports brands. There are 13 TV screens in the pub. Visitors can watch broadcasting of sport events which is very popular here.

"Tenants of Public catering places are the most active ones in the street retail segment. Its share of demands from operators is 26% in St. Petersburg. Beer places in 2013 were particularly active primarily due to the introduction of legislative measures which restrict the retail sale of beer. Vyborgskoe highway is a perspective location where active residential construction of comfort-class buildings continues and high-quality commercial infrastructure forms.
