ASTERA Introduced Chain of Irish Pubs Harat?s Pub to Saint Petersburg Market

The Siberian chain of Irish pubs Harat’s Pub is entering the Saint-Petersburg market. The first pub will be opened in Nevsky prospect. ASTERA, an alliance member of BNP Paribas Real Estate, rendered services on space selection.

HARAT'S PUB restaurant network is a federal chain of Irish pubs with a wide assortment of beer and whiskey and with a menu, which includes traditional Irish dishes.

The first pub under the brand name Harat’s Pub in Saint Petersburg will be opened at the beginning of 2012 and will have 80 seats. “Opening of the pub in Nevsky prospect will allow to get a flagship project in the main shopping street of the second Russian capital and complies with our plans to increase the brand recognition,” – Igor Kokourov, the project director, the chairman of the board of directors of the group of companies ‘Materik’. But for the landmark location at the intersection of pedestrian and traffic flows the premise of the first pub also meets other standards of the chain, such as technical convenience and possibility to create the branded façade.

Pubs of the chain Harat’s Pub are decorated in unified style of comfortable chaos with an accent on the bar counter. The special features of the chain are without limitation a minimum of personnel members and regular show program with traditional for these pubs ‘dances on the window sills’. “Entertainment programs of our pubs provide for holding local and federal tournaments of different types: starting from draughts and darts and ending with football. At our sites music bands of rock-pop style and light rock perform cover-versions of famous hits; besides, different promotional campaigns are scheduled to be held in cooperation with some popular and legendary beverages,” – Igor Kokourov tells.

The first pub of the Harat’s Pub chain was opened in the city of Irkutsk in 2009, now the chain comprises 13 pubs operating in the cities of Krasnoyarsk and Irkutsk. At the beginning of November the Harat’s Pub chain has entered the Moscow market. The chain is planning to open 15 pubs in Saint Petersburg, both own and franchise, some of them to be located in the shopping centres of the city. Investments for a pub startup make from 5 to 9 million roubles.

According to assessments of the experts of ASTERA, an alliance member of BNP Paribas Real Estate, the place to open the first pub has been chosen successfully. “in this part of Nevsky prospect there are many public catering operators; the visitors flow there is formed by the numerous offices located in the vicinity,” – Lyudmila Reva, the ASTERA Director, explains, – “At the same time the sector of pubs and places, where people can actively spend time after work, is yet empty. Harat’s Pub can fill this sector and redirect to their new pub the visitors of the bars from Vosstaniya street, Litejny prospect and other adjacent streets”.
