ASTERA an alliance member of BNP Paribas Real Estate consults NCC

ASTERA an alliance member of BNP Paribas Real Estate accomplished consulting project for Swedish construction and development company NCC Group.

Within the project scope ASTERA consultants have carried out research of the market of commercial real estate of St.-Petersburg and have fulfilled the comparative analysis of its key data parameters of large European cities: Helsinki, Stockholm, London, Paris, Munich etc. Research contains comparison of macroeconomic indicators andperformance indicators of construction industry. Three main segments of commercial real estate were studied in details: office, retail, warehouse, within current and projected volume of demand, supply and take-up. Consultants have presented a detailed retrospective of development of of commercial real estate market in St.-Petersburg and a tendency for the next 5 years.

Research was carried out in connection with plans of the Swedish company to enter the market of commercial real estate of St.-Petersburg. Results of work have formed the basis and assisted for a choice of the most attractive segment of commercial real estate in which efforts NCC Property Development in the market of St.-Petersburg in intermediate and long-term prospects will be concentrated.

NCC is one of the leading construction and property development companies in the Nordic region. The Group had sales of € 5 billion in 2010, with approximately 17,000 employees. The concern carries out construction activity in the countries of Northern, Baltic regions, Germany and Russia. Since 1977 of the enterprise of NCC Group are engaged in industrial construction and reconstruction of public buildings in St.-Petersburg and regions of Russia. Now activity of concern in St.-Petersburg and Leningrad region develops in two directions: investment residential construction and a construction of roads. The strategic decision on development in commercial real estate market is a logic continuation of successful activity in the market of Petersburg.

ASTERA was contracted as an advisor for this consulting assignment due to its vast more than 19-year-old experience of the company in the local market, in-depth knowledge of all market players developers, investors, tenants and their projects, as well as international standards of work and its partnership with BNP Paribas REt. In particular the comparative analysis with the European cities was carried out jointly with analysts of the international partner, company BNP Paribas Real Estate.
