ASTERA Selects Premises for Coffeeshop Company in Ligovsky Prospect

On the 15th of August a new café of the chain of Viennese coffee bars of Coffeeshop Company was opened in Ligovsky prospect. Services on premises selection were rendered by ASTERA, an alliance member of BNP Paribas Real Estate. “COFFEE SET” Ltd., which promotes the Coffeeshop Company chain in Russia, rented a premise of 127 sq.m. in 63, Ligovsky prospect. New coffee bar shall have about 60 seats and is performed in lounge format. The special feature of this format is the unique European scenery, when a particular attention is paid to the comfortable and cosy lounge zone. Visitors are served by the waiters.

There are 23 coffee bars under the brand name of Coffeeshop Company operating in Saint-Petersburg. The chain develops mainly in the central districts, occupying both in-built premises and food-courts of the successful shopping complexes, such as Galeria, Vladimirsky Passage, PIK.

ASTERA has been cooperating with the Coffeeshop Company network for a long time. In 2010 one of the flagship cafés of the chain was opened in 100, Nevsky prospect, with ASTERA being involved in the process. In 2011 ASTERA served as a broker of the lease transaction for 1’250 sq.m. to “COFFEE SET” Ltd. in the warehouse complex in Parnas industrial area. The premise will be used for shop equipment storage. Part of the premise will be allocated for execution of preventive repair of coffee machines and other equipment.

“Opening of a Coffeeshop Company café in Ligovsky prospect is a logical step in the chain development process,” – states Lyudmila Reva, the Business Development Director in ASTERA, an alliance member of BNP Paribas Real Estate. “After opening of shopping and leisure centre Galeria the street is gradually getting rid of the reputation of a depressive area. The major players of the Saint-Petersburg coffee market are already present on this thoroughfare”.
“The in-built premises along the central streets of Saint-Petersburg are still very popular among the public catering operators, who aspire not to restrict themselves with space in shopping complexes only. With participation of ASTERA company the American chain of café-bakeries Cinnabon is going to open its first café in street-retail format. Earlier Cinnabon was renting only space in shopping centres food-courts,” – the expert adds.
