ASTERA Places McDonald's in the Shopping Centre under Construction in Miklukho-Maklaya

McDonald's company will locate its one more restaurant in the shopping centre being constructed in Miklukho-Maklaya street. The fast-food restaurant will occupy the area of around 400 sq.m. and will provide the McAuto service already popular among Moscow citizens (serving clients in cars). This transaction was consulted by ASTERA, an alliance member of BNP Paribas Real Estate, which is an exclusive leasing agent of this shopping centre under construction.

The project is located in the large residential area, near the intersection of busy streets: Profsoyuznaya and Miklukho-Maklaya. Olga Zbrueva, the Head of Tenants’ Division in ASTERA, an alliance member of BNP Paribas Real Estate, notes that “the project can be easily accessed by car – so opening of a McDonald's restaurant with a McAuto option has got high potential”. The shopping centre is planned to be opened in the Q1 2012, and its total area will make 15’700 sq.m.

It should be noted that tenants pool of the new shopping centre will include retail formats, which are not currently available in the nearby shopping projects: major retailers of household appliances and electronics, goods for home, sport goods etc. The shopping gallery of the new retail centre will house shoes, clothes and accessories stores, perfumery and cosmetics shops, as well as restaurants and café.

According to Olga Zbrueva, “the high interest in this project among companies of different profile should be noted, at the present moment negotiations with the leading retailers are being carried out. Involvement in the project of such a famous player as McDonald’s will undoubtedly attract more attention from the tenants. Advantageous transport access of the shopping centre and good-quality tenant list makes it possible to talk about the success of the project”.
